Tea ceremony in the afternoon. My second class of koicha (thick tea), before I have only done the thin tea. It went quite well. The procedure is similar but the tricky part seems to be making the thick tea.
My sensei was surprised that I manage to make the thick tea so smooth though it was only the second time. I have no idea what I actually did special. I just stirred it until it looked like I wanted to drink it 🙂
After the tea ceremony I met Chie in a crowded (as always) Shinjuku. We went to Keio department store to check on some Fjällräven clothes. I bought a pair of shorts and 2 t-shirts. Buy Swedish!
Then we met my sensei t have dinner. Korean BBQ. We had meet until it was popping out of our ears. Then we rolled home in a pleasantly cool evening night.
How long do you have to stir it to make it look drinkable? Isn’t that like bitter toothpaste froth?
Hmmm, maybe the thin tea is a bit like bitter toothpaste froth. The thick tea would be more like blank dark green paint.
Sounds like a great day! =)
