IDC and Dinner at Pescaderia

Back in Tokyo. We went to IDC showroom in Odaiba to look for a new bookshelf. The IKEA Billy one we have now has started to give up. The big Tohoku earthquake took a toll on it and the sides are now slowly “sliding” apart. As a result, some of the shelves are resting on the books below 🙂

Once we found the one we wanted and ordered it (to be delivered on January 25th, stay tuned for photos) we drove on to Toranomon hospital where a friend of us has been hospitalised since just after Christmas. He is waiting on a surgery to remove some malfunctioning parts of his digestion system. Though he had not had the surgery yet he still looked healthier than the last time we saw him.

Pescaderia

Then our “tour” went to Ginza for dinner at Pescaderia. To our surprise (positive) they had prohibited smoking in the restaurant, which made the evening even more pleasant than we had anticipated. Yummy!

Ghost Writer & Pescaderia with Club Leo

At 3:25 pm we met Ryo-san and Non-san outside the movie theatre. It was time for our monthly meeting with Club Leo. This time we were watching Ghost Writer. It was a quite good movie about a ghost writer and the trouble you can get into when you are ghost writing for an ex-prime minister that have some problematic relations with CIA.

After the movie we continued to Prescaderia where we had dinner. It was YUMMY!

Inception

I have to watch this movie again! Inception. 1 part Matrix, 1 part Memento, and probably many parts of movies I cannot think about now. Well made and entertaining, but difficult to get your head around it. Was it good or was bad? I go for good now.

After the movie we (Club Leo) went to Pescaderia for a superb dinner. As usual at Pescaderia and their sister restaurants Red Pepper and Walnuts. Yummy!

Club Leo @ Pescaderia Ginza

Left office at 5:30 pm. Directly after a meeting. As usual I used the Yamanote-sen, but today I went in the opposite direction to Yurakucho. Meeting Chie and Club Leo at POescaderia at 7 pm.

First I stopped at Tokyu Hands (yes, Tokyu as in the company Tokyu and not Tokyo as this small town is called :-)). I needed some more paint for the repainting job I am doing in Chie’s appartment. And I wanted a new brush as well.

Then I got lost in Ginza. Or rather I could not find my way to Pescaderia. It was a long time since I last visited and I mistook which area it is located in.

A phone call to Chie and I was on my way. Last to arrive. But we still had a good time. With good food. And celebrating Non’s birthday.

Happy Birthday Non! Club Leo

Afterwards Chie and I took the subway home and taxi from Naka-meguro station. We were too tired after a long workweek to walk home.
