Kan, Grotta, and Tram

After work today I went home to Andreas. Or rather I went to his building. Went up to the 5th floor where his apartment is. And met him in the hallway. Waiting impatiently.

We had a plan to have a dinner at Kan. It had been hot and humid all day long and was still hot and humid enough to be drenched should we have decided to walk the 40-50 minutes to Kan. We took a taxi.

The result? We were a tiny bit early. Chie was not there yet. So I called here to let her know we had arrived already. That was lucky because after I’ve talked with here I just handed over the phone to one of the waiters… Then 5 minutes later food started to come Andreas and my way.

About 15 minutes later Chie also arrived. And joined Andreas and me in our feast of delicious Japanese food.

We enjoyed a long dinner with lots of food. Finally we had enough and went to Grotta for a night cap.

But Grotta was closed due to Obon. So we continued to Tram. One of Andreas favorite bars in Ebisu. There we had Absinthe (Andreas), white wine (Chie), and Ginger Ale (me). And philosophed (OK, not a real word but that was what we were doing ;-)) about life in general. Until it way past bedtime for Chie and me.

Yodakimpo

Met with Andreas at 7:30 pm and we walked in the cool night to Yodakimpo, about 20 minutes form home. There we had dinner, and talked, or rather tried to talk. It was quite impassible because of a gang of birthday celebrators too loud celebrations.

Once we finished eating the waiter bowed deeply and said “sumimasen” (sorry) as if it was his fault the birthday celebrators were loud as a hundred steam trains’ in a echo room.

We ended the evening with Chie at Grotta. A bar not far from home.
