Petter & C/o @ Yasaka

Today’s dinner was at Yasaka with an x-work colleage (Petter), his wife (Maki-san) and their 9 months old son (Kai-kun). Since Kai-kun is only 9 months old and they all are busy packing their apartment for the move back to Sweden our plan was to have a short dinner, ending at around 8 pm.

That was not so successful. We left Yasaka past 10 pm after about 4 hours dining, talking, drinking, and a lot of fun. We only had one regret… That we hadn’t met for dinner earlier.

Yasaka with Work Colleagues & Friends

Once my meeting had finished at 7 pm I left the office. I met up with Martin Dremo (work colleague from Lund) in the Shinagawa station. Together we went to Yasaka for dinner.

At first it was only Martin and me, then Andreas (work colleague here in Japan) and Jonas (chef at Swedish Embassy) and Andrea (friend of Jonas) dropped by. Soon Chie came as well.

Together we had a fun time. Eating. Drinking. Talking. Laughing. And we killed Tanaka-san at least a hundred time.

Tanaka-san is a guy working at Yasaka. He is from the Osaka area and can, thus, be killed by a “hand” gun or an air sword.

Yasaka

Met Andreas and his Family, Stina, Emil, Simon, Ulf, and Elisabeth at Yasaka after work. We spent a few hours there eating and playing with the kids. Well, mostly Chie played with the kids… Killing them with Japanese imaginary swords. And they tried to kill her with “hand” guns, without success.

Once they kids got tired we brought the Baskin-Robbins ice cream that Chie had bought in Naka-Meguro. They happily ate and was surprisingly quiet for a while 😉 And I was a bit jealous since I had to eat grilled chicken wings, grilled bamboo shots and other grown-up dishes 😛

Yasaka with Yin

At 5:30 pm we were at the Naka-Meguro station to pick-up Yin, a work colleague of Chie (exchange worker from China) for dinner. Yin will soon leave Japan, going back to China.

We had dinner at Yasaka and Yin seemed to like it. Afterwards we went back to our place to talk, drink tea from China, and introduce Apple TV for Yin. Sorry Patrik, but I do my best to remove M$ from the throne 😉

Around 10 Yin had to leave to get back to her apartment or her husband (in China) would get very worried – he seemed to be the worrying kind.

Yasaka

The day before going to San Francisco… What better to do than to go to Yasaka for dinner. Delicious as always. And fun as always. Besides the good feed, the people working there, and especially the owner, are crazy funny.
