Strange morning. Tokyo was covered in very low clouds at the ground, but the tallest buildings could see the sun rising unobscured. Our building was not tall enough.

KotoKoto Cooking Class
Chie and I spent the afternoon taking a cooking class with our friend Hiromi-san, the owner of one of our favorite restaurants KotoKoto. The theme of the dishes was lotus root.
A Short Vacation at Gyokuhokan
Chie and I spent a few days on vacation at the Gyokuhokan ryokan. We enjoyed hot baths in natural hot spring water, wonderful food and relaxing environment.
