Happy New Year!!!

Once we had finished working Chie and I met at Bistro Mikami, just across the street from home. Christmas Eve’s dinner 🙂 We had a lovely time eating great food. One of our favourites is the in-restaurant smoked iwashi (sardine). Well, besides the deserts that is 😉
After dinner we went back home, just 150 meters 🙂 Back home we had a relaxing evening opening a couple of Christmas gifts. I had got Chie (us) three electric candle light. The body is made of candle wax and the flame is moving so from two meters away it is really difficult to see that they are not real. It makes a cozy atmosphere without the hazards of “live” candles.
Maybe this is not well-known outside of Japan, but Abe-san is forcing a State Secret bill through the house of parliament. Nothing special about the government and its functions being allowed to declare certain information as state secrets. The remarkable thing with the state secret bill in Japan is that there is no clear definition of what type of information that can be a state secret nor is there any clear description of how it will be governed. In addition, whistle blowers risk 10 years in prison and don’t you dare ask for secret information, even if you did not know it was a state secret you asked information about you may end up doing 5 years in prison.
Not only I did protest against this bill today, thousands of others did all over Japan. Including Spiderman and two lovely ladies.
