The only difference from yesterday was that we slept in, did not watch any stars, and we had a walk in the afternoon. Otherwise we spent it just like yesterday, eating, bathing and relaxing.

Going on Vacation to Yamaguchi
Started our vacation early today by going to Haneda and fly to Ube in Yamaguchi-ken. From the airport we drove our rental car to Otozure ryokan, with just a short detour to watch a somewhat famous bridge.
The rest of the day we spent in the common ryokan onzen, on our balcony reading or in the hot tub. Relaxing!
We ended the evening by having a huge Japanese dinner before watching the stars or, more accurately, we watched the moon, Saturn and one start called Vega (25 lightyears away).
Last Day at the Office…
Last day at the office today, for a week and some. Next week we are off for a short vacation. I’ll report back here… Eventually 😉
Long Time…
As you may have notices if you have visited here the last month and a half there has been no updates. Life has taken control over my time, but I am fighting to get the control back 🙂
For the past few months I have attended MBA classes every second Wednesday. That and preparations for the class has taken some time. I also am involved in a group that tonight will hold a World Cafe about Global Leadership. More specifically how Japan can contribute to global leadership. Arranging this World Cafe has been fun but also taken time.
In a couple of weeks Chie and I will be on a short vacation in Japan – stay tuned for photos 🙂 After that I will have some time off now and then for a few weeks. I still have vacation days that I need to use before my contract renews in mid-August (or I will lose them) and we have some company holidays too. Hopefully I can get back in control of my time by mid-August.
Birthday
Today was my birthday. It’s not so important now as it was when you were a kid. Still I enjoy having a good dinner with Chie, but I enjoy that every time 🙂 Today we went to Bistro Mikami. The food was delicious. And so was the dessert.
