J Edgar & Le Petit Tonneau

Chie and I met with CLub Leo to watch the latest of Leo(nardio) DiCaprio‘s movies, J Edgar. The movie was interesting in some sense but it was slow and a bit of a sleeping pill.

Afterwards we had dinner at a French restaurant, Le Petit Tonneau. The food was fine, but the absolute best part was the deserts. Unfortunately I did not pick the best one this time 🙁 I had a wonderful bowl of chocolate mousse though, but Non had a marvelous apple pie that I had a small bite of. I think I have to return just for the apple pie 🙂

Bikkuri!!!

In the evening we got a big surprise in Tokyo… SNOW :-O

Not much, but much more than we got last year when we got no snow in Tokyo during the whole winter.

Shipped from Amazon to Kobuchihama and Fukukiura

Today we used some of the money we collected for Kobuchihama and Fukukiura to order various needed things from Amazon. You can find the details here.

Dinner at Yodakimbo

We were craving nabe tonight and the option was to cook it at home or Yodakimbo. Since both Chie and I had been busy today and we really wanted chicken nabe we chose the Yodakimbo option, which may have guessed from the title 😉

As always at Yodakimbo the food was delicious and the service was friendly, just as we like it.

STEP Dinner

Today Chie and I joined the Japanese National STEP Committee for a dinner at the Lions. It was a lot of familiar faces from when I worked with STEP in the ISO so it was fun time meeting them again, even though some of them I have met a few times since I left the STEP community.

Oku-san was there as well. I have had quite some contact with Oku-san recently as I have helped him investigate SymbioCity, which is an initiative of the Swedish Trade Council to share knowledge, competence, and solutions about building sustainable cities. Knowledge and competence that Swedish companies have developed during last 30-50 years and applied in various projects around in Sweden, one of most successful so far being Hammarby Sjöstad.

Anyway, back to the dinner… It was OK food and fun company. Though I was a bit tired after a long week.
