Preparing Flea Market for Tohoku

After work I rode my bike directly home where I met Chie, and we drove to Ishihara-san’s home. There we filled our car with donated clothes for this weekend’s flea market. We also filled up Ishihara-san’s car. When that was done I drove our car and Chie drove Ishihara-san’s car to the flea market.

Ishihara-san and some other have already started preparing when we arrived. After we had unloaded the cars Chie and I also helped hanging all the clothes. Though I am not improving much in terms of making decorations, Chie is. She folder sweaters, t-shirts and shirts, which she put on a table in piles. Everyone commented on how nice it looked 🙂

Fire in Naka-Meguro?

While Chie and I were walking home from the gym we saw what must have been all the fire trucks in Tokyo. They had parked along the Yamate-dori and the fire fighters were walking around looking for something. A fire?

They probably did not find anything, because when we got home there was nothing on the news about Naka-Meguro. The next day too. Nothing. I guess that’s good though.

Walking Coco the Dog

This weekend we went to Tokorozawa. It was quite some time since we last visited Coco the dog. He was quite excited to see us again. Though as usual a bit reluctant to walk with me at first. But once he get a sniff of the “real world” he likes it. And although it is autumn it is still warm – around 25 degrees this weekend.

Saturday night we had dinner at Musashi. A family run Japanese style restaurant in Shin-Tokorozawa. The food was great as usual 🙂

Sunday night we had hot pot at home. A spicy variant. Yummy! We also had 3 other dishes on the side (potato and asparagus in a creamy cause, chicken thigh and horse radish, and sanma (fish) with ginger). All very yummy 🙂

Preparation for Flea Market

Next weekend (October 15-16) we have another flea market coming up. Chie and I a preparing by going through our wardrobe and collecting the things we no longer use. Last time Chie did the same thing but we forgot to document it 🙂
