I Love Apple

As you may remember I have had some MacBook Pro(blem) (new MacBook Pro, waiting for new MacBook Pro, MacBook Pro(blem)). The graphics card crashed and I could not use the computer at all. So I ordered a new one that I am now using.

Still I went to the Apple Store in Ginza a few weeks ago to check if I could fix the problem with the old MacBook Pro. Yesterday they contacted me to let me know the old MacBook Pro was now fixed. FREE OF CHARGE!!! 😀 So I went there today during the lunch time and picked it up.

I love Apple!

The only problem now is what will I do with my two MackBook Pros? 😕

Back in Tokyo

Japan welcomed us back home by gently shaking us in the early morning. But nothing serious, just a very small shake that I probably would not have noticed if I hadn’t been awake already.

Next “shock” came when I had to dress for going to the office. It was COLD outside. First time in about 2 and a half months that I had to wear shoes. And a jacket. And it was raining.

What a welcome back from vacation, huh?

NeuroSleep

Before going to bed I drank one of the two bottles of NeuroSleep I bought in Hawaii. NeuroSleep is part of a family of functional beverages from Neuro Drinks. The NeuroSleep beverage is supposed to help you sleep and to increase the speed of adjusting to a new time zone using Magnesium Glycinate, L-Theanine, 5-Hydroxytryptophan, and Melatonin as ingredients.

You can find a review of Neuro Drinks beverages here. The NeuroSleep did not work so well for the reviewer but I have slept well after drinking it, and I have not felt any nausea. Though the sleeping well may very well depend on that I was quite exhausted after a long travel and change of time zones 😉

Honolulu Airport

Sitting in the Delta Sky Lounge at the Honolulu airport waiting for the call to start boarding. Trying to make my iPad download Robin Hood rental movie from iTunes so I have something to watch, but it is slow.

In an hour or so we will have to leave for our boarding.

Last Day in Kauai

Last day in Kauai for this time. We went to our favorite beach, Kiahuna, to play in the waves. Today it was quite big waves and Chie brought the boggy board. I just use my body to surf the waves 🙂

We spent the whole day at Kiahuna beach. Readin. Playing and swimming in the water. Relaxing. But not wishing we could stay longer because that is not the Hawaiian way.

The Hawaiian way is to care about the moment only and not about the future. So we enjoyed the moment, and tomorrow when we have to leave Kauai we start wishing we could stay a little longer.

In the evening we went home to take a quick shower and then we returned to Kiahuna. Where we had dinner at the Point. We had a dinner mainly so we could have nice drinks and not so much for the food that is usually better when we make it ourselves than eating out in US. Chie had a Mai Tai and I had a virgin Lava Flow.

After dinner we filled the tank in the car, $40 made it topped up. Then we tried some alternative routes back from Koloa town to Poipu but without luck so we went the usual way. Once back home it was packing to get ready for our early rise and drive to the airport tomorrow morning.
