Translations

I order a few books from Amazon.co.jp today. My procedure is to look the books up at Amazon.com and then order them at the Japanese site.

A few minutes after I placed the order I got an email with the following message: “にご注文された商品のお届け予定日が確認できましたのでお知らせします。ご注文いただきました商品とお届け予定日は以下のとおりです。”, which was a bit difficult for me to understand so what to do? Well, in the wonderful times of Internet and Google you simple sort of Google it. Or use the Google translate function.

Turns out that if Google is correct then Amazon.co.jp has quite high thoughts about themselves, The SUN. Well, when I order books you are quite important but I believe the sun is more important for my survival than Amazon.co.jp 😉

This Is It

Met Chie in Roppongi Hills after work. For a quick dinner and then This Is It. The MJ movie. It was a really good movie, showing MJ in action setting up and rehearsing for his This Is It show(s).

Stayed Home

Chie was home yesterday and the day before in some stomach flu thing. She was nice enough to give it to me as well… So I spent the night with some fever and not sleeping well. The end result? I stayed home today, which was relaxing but a bit boring. But the main objective was reached… I got better.

Painting…

Had the apartment for myself today so what better to do than continue the renovation? I panted the wooden frame around one door and the opening to the kitchen.

Now only the… Rest remain.

Leaving Tokorozawa

Last day in Tokorozawa. Another beautiful day Coco and I took advantage of for a walk.

For dinner we had fried buri (fish related to tuna) and mabu-dofu (Chinese spicy meat dish). Yummy!

Coco was kind of tired after walking and having so much fun during a few days now that he slept through most of the dinner. Which is quite unusual.

We had heard on TV that some of the expressways was crowded due to everyone returning from New Year’s holidays. Some expressways had up to 30 km lines of cars moving slowly towards their destinations.

Our guess was that tomorrow would be even worse since it is that last day of the holidays. We drove back from Tokorozawa quite late, only the driver (me) was awake. Luckily almost all the cars were gone when we drove back 🙂
