Typhoon

Forecast was rain and hard wind but when we woke up this morning the sun was shining. Until I went to the office. Then it was raining cats and dogs and elephants and whales and whatever. And gusty winds that wanted to turn my umbrella inside out.

Luckily I was dressed in my trekking gears as well. Rainproof all over. Still it was nice to take the bus (I usually walk to the station). Then onto the train to Shinagawa.

In Shinagawa the sun was shining. But the wind had picked up. It picked up so much that I must have caught the last train. No more train until lunch time because of strong wind.

This meant that we were about 30% of the workforce at the office until after lunch. It felt oddly quite at the office. And even more so when I went to lunch and could sit outside in the sun. Blue sky. 28 degrees 😎

Why this strange behavior? A typhoon was passing over Japan. The strongest in 10 years the news said. It was kind of cozy I thought.

Oh, I almost forgot. The best part with a typhoon is that afterwards the sky is so clear. And when I was walking downhill from Meguro to the gym at Ga Jo En it cold see a magnificent image of Fuji-san backlit by a red sunset. I just regret I did not bring my camera 🙁
