Tropical Thunder

Went to the gym in the morning to do some back exercises. Then I met Chie in Naka-meguro to go to Ginza. There we walked around for a while, checking some TVs at Bic Camera and some clothes at Estnation. Then we walked to the Picadilly movie theater next to the Seibu appartment store. There we watched the Tropical Thunder movie. It was a totally crazy movie with Tom Cruise in disguise.

Afterwards we walked around some more in Ginza. Before taking the subway home. Did some grocery shopping. And came home to a great view of Tokyo Tower and a full moon.

Dinner at En on the 42nd Floor

It’s Friday again and I just packed all my stuff at the office. We are moving to a new floor during the weekend. So today we had to be out of the office by 6 pm. That was perfect for me. I finished packing by 5:30 pm and took the Yamanote-sen to Yurakucho where I met Chie at the Seibu department store.

We walked to Shiodome City Tower where we were having dinner with some ex-collegues of Chie. We went in to an elevator with only 3 buttons, 1, 41, 42. The restaurant we had reserved table at was on the 42nd floor.

Unfortunately we had not a table with a view. But we could sneak a peek after the dinner. Which was really good. We had sashimi. Spare ribs. Shabu-shabu. And many other dishes. And we had a fun time… Again.

After dinner we walked down to the 41st floor where they had a Mickey Mouse party. I think. There was a guy who had a Mickey Mouse over his breast pocket. Probably some Christmas party of some big company. From the 41st floor we took the elevator down. Again our ears were popping, just as they did on the way up. You would think it would take a while to travel 42 floors but I believe that we were in the elevator less than a minute. So I guess the elevator is quite fast.

Fuji-san from Tokorozawa

I had a walk with Coco in the morning. It was a clear morning with frost on the ground and a clear view of Fuji-san.

Coco was a little bit tired after the walk and spent some time in the lap of Chie resting.

Home Warming Part

After the office hours I met Chie at Yasaka to have a dinner. On my way to Yasaka I also stopped at the Shinagawa station to buy some cookies for Andreas. We had been invited to his place for a home warming party,  with pink champange.

He had a small but nice appartment with a big balcony that Chie and I are planning to have many BBQ parties at next year. We hope that Andreas wants to join us 😉

There were about 10 people at the party. All of them Swedes except for Chie, and most of them working for Sony Ericsson. Still we had a good time, without talking too much about Sony Ericsson.

Just past midnight we broke up the party and continued to one of the Big Echo Karaoke bars in Meguro. All 10 of us in a small Karaoke box. People were singing all from I don’t know what to Bon Jovi. It was a fun time, although I am still to discover the wonders of Karaoke.
