The Little Thing that Goes Bzzzzzzzzzz

Found a dead bug on the balcony the other day. It was a semi. It sits in the trees in summer time and goes BZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz BZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz BZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz… Then they die.

Welcome Party

Sony Ericsson had a Welcome and Farwell party tonight. Around 40 people went to a Chinese restaurant not far from the office. It was welcome for 8 new people, including me, and farewell for 3 people. Some going back to India and some continue to work at other places.

I ahd a good time and got to know a few people a whole lot better. Mainly I talked with the people at the table, Hirota-san from Nigata, Sateai-san from Hokaido, and Nakane-san who is married to a Chinese woman.

Around 10 pm me and Martin, a Swedish guy from Sony Ericsson Lund, went back to Meguro together. He lives about 500 meters from me and Chie.

Askul at the Office

The title of this blog might not be so funny for English speaker. However, I hope it is funny for Swedish readers. At the office I found a box with the name “Askul” (Swedish slang for great fun) on it.

Askul

It is a Japanese company (Askul)that sells almost anything by post order and Internet. The name is the combination of “Ashita” (明日) and “Kuru” (来る) which means tomorrow and coming respectively. The indication is that if you order today it will arrive tomorrow. It also seems that the vice president of Askul is into Swedish design according to Fru Form.

Dark Knight

Chie and I went to Roppongi Hills around 1 pm. We walked around to check some stores like Estnation before we went to Toho The Theater to watch the Dark Knight, the latest Bat Man movie. It was a good movie, especially if you like Bat Man. And Heath Ledger was the Joker. He just finished making the movie when he died of an overdose.

Body Combat

Chie and I decided to go to the gym to attend a class of Body Combat. First Chie attended an aerobics class while I did shoulder and arm weight exercises. Then we joined the Body Combat class together. One hour of punches, knees, and kicks. In a room full of people. In a Tokyo too hot and humid to do any kind of body exercises. I was so sweaty afterwords it felt like I was melting. But it was fun.
