Dinner at Walnuts

Went to the University of Tokyo to have lunch with Mario today. He wanted to go to a French restaurant so we did. I had a salad and grilled fish. It was OK.

After lunch we had a walk to Nezu to visit the temple there. It was a nice walk, but quite hot. Still we could enjoy it talking about what happened since we last met. Then we walked back to the university to have iced coffee and iced tea.

Around 5 pm I took the subway to Kamiyacho to meet Chie. We continued to Roppongi. From there we went to Roppongi hills for window shopping before continuing to Walnuts for dinner. It was delicious as usual.

On our way to Walnuts we passed Icebar Tokyo. A branch of the Icebar in Stockholm, which is part of the Ice hotel.

Tokyo

Did not do much today. Went to Hiroo to have a lunch with Chie. We went to a tepan-yaki restaurant. It was OK but not as great as the price suggested. After the lunch we had some room for an ice cream as well. I had Italian chocolate and Chie had Italian panna ice cream. Yummy.

Then Chie had to return to her office. I continued doing not much until I met Chie again. This time at Starbucks in Naka-meguro. We shopped groceries for the dinner at Precce. Then home to prepare dinner. Yaki-buri with rice, ton-shiru, and yaki-tomorokoshi. Great.

Tokorozawa

Today Coco was going to a manner class and stay there for the night. It’s a big thing since this is the first time on his own. The morning was spent playing with Coco and preparing for his manner class, such as making his meals and packing them in zip-loc bags.

At 10 am Coco was picked up by the teachers of the manner class. Then we spent a few more hours in Tokorozawa before going back to Tokyo. It was very quite without Coco. And nothing to do. So Chie and i went to buy some tea, which we tried before returning to Tokyo. Great.

Dinner tonight was at Yasaka. Our favorite restaurant. Yoshiki-san joined us too.

Going to Tokorozawa

In the morning we went to Tokorozawa by train. We went there to see Coco. A playful and cute toy poodle. It was very fun to see Coco again. And exhausting. He was running and jumping all the time. At no moment was he still. But cute.

In the evening we had shabu-shabu for dinner. Yoshiki-san had won some golf tournament. The price was 800 grams of a very delicious beef for shabu-shabu. Which we had had delivered to Tokorozawa. Yummy.

Cooking Class & Kunimoto

In the morning Chie and I went to cooking class at Tokyo Gas in Shinjuku. This is our second time. It’s always fun. The last time we went mainly because the class was held by one of Chie’s favorite chefs. This time it was not a famous chef. Instead we were interested in the dishes – dishes to eat while drinking beer.

In the evening we met some of Chie’s ex-work colleagues from ECOM. We were having dinner at Kunimoto, one of the top ranks of yaki-niku restaurants in Tokyo. It was delicious.
