Chakachaka

In the afternoon Chie and I went to Shinjuku to shop and to have a dinner. We met with Chie’s mother that wanted to join us. First stop was some department stores.

On our way to the Chakachaka restaurant we stopped by a gift shop – typical Japanese thing – where you could buy fruits, jam, and other things as gifts for your friends or, of course, for yourself. Here we found a box of 35 cherries for almost 27000 JPY (about 1700 SEK). Amasingly expensive! 770 JPY each (about 50 SEK per cherry).

We also found a mango for 6500 JPY (415 SEK). They, cherries and mango, aught to be pretty tasty to pay that amount for them. What about making a magno and cherry fruit salad? With some Godiva chocolate ice cream (1/2 liter for 1250 JPY or so)?

After our amazement over the very expensive fruit gifts we continued to Chakachaka where we had a great dinner. Japanese style. Yummy.

On our way home I decided I wanted to have a massage. Chie called for me and when we got back home our sensei was waiting for us. An hour later I was quite ready to go to bed.
