Soccer & Yasaka

Made a big come back as a soccer player today at Todai (東大). Some Kimura lab members were playing against another lab and they asked me to join them because they were short of players. We had a fun time and played really well, and even though the other team had two or three quite technical players we were much better as a team and beat them quite easily. I think our great success was mainly due to our supporting cheer leader, referee, and photographer Chie.

The Todai teams

After the match Chie and I went to Yasaka for a dinner. As usual it was very tasty and yummy.

Pre Super Bowl

I am at Patrik’s place to watch the Super Bowl with Patrik and HÃ¥kan. We have just finished dinner and are now killing the time until midnight when the Super Bowl starts.

There’s a rumour that the offensive coach of Pittsburgh will be the new head coach of Raiders next year. So it will be interesting to see Pittsburgh’s offense tonight.

Steelers@Broncos & Burgers

Went to HÃ¥kan to watch the Steelers@Broncos game on TV. Before that we had a big dinner with home made hamburgers and ice cream for dessert.

Patrik was also there but he left early. One part was that he had to wake up early tomorrow and another part was that he was going with Denver and they did not play well. So he left at half time.

Finally Steelers won by 34-17 or something like that.

Happy New Year from Kuri (& Mash)

When I got back to my mother’s place today to repack my bag a postcard from Kuri (and Mash-san) was waiting for me. Kuri is the smallest biggest Raider’s fan in the Universe I think. I believe Mash-san has influenced him a lot, and picked up his Raider’s jersey and helmet.

Kuri, Mash-san's dog wishes Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you too Kuri and Mash-san and Happy New Year to everybody else too!
