Visiting Coco the Dog

Usually we go to Tokorozawa the first weekend when we are back from a vacation. This time was no exception. Coco was waiting for us 🙂

And as usual Coco and I was taking walks – he need to loose some weight 😉 And anyway, it was a wonderful Japanese spring weather, which means Swedish summer weather. Me in tshirt, shorts and flip-flops, and Coco in… Well, nothing 😉

A Long Tunnel

We took another road back from Tokorozawa today. It was faster than usual. And the last I don’t know how many kilometers was in a tunnel. First we just went down and down and down until I could swear it was getting hotter 😉 Then it was upwards, ending in a upward spiral. And out we popped… In Shibuya. We had expected to come out at a slightly different place but sometimes it is good to have a GPS enabled navigator system in the car 🙂

Coco the Dog Meets a Friend

Sometimes I wonder if Coco the dog is really a dog. First of all he does not like other dogs at all. He does anything in his power to get away from them. Second, he is very interested in cats. But not chasing them as other dogs.

Today Coco and were enjoying the nice weather both in the morning and in the afternoon. Both times we met the same cat. Both times Coco approach the cat and then sat down watching it from a few meters away. If I had not urged him to come with me I guess he’s been sitting there still. Watching the cat.

Visiting Coco the Dog in Tokorozawa

Another weekend visit to Coco the dog. We took the car in the morning. In Tokorozawa we were busy doing the normal things… Like relaxing :- And as usual Coco (and Chie) was not so accommodating with me acting as a paparazzi.

In the evening we went to Musashi for dinner. A common thing in Japan is “keep bottle” where you can keep a bottle of alcohol at the restaurant if you cannot finish it in one go. At Musashi we have a bottle and I usually decorate it with a pen. This night I had requests from total strangers to decorate their bottles too. It was quite a busy night.

Coco the Dog

This weekend we took the car and drove to Tokorozawa. As always an oasis of relaxation from work and most of the rest of the world. Tough news throughout the weekend reminded us of Friday’s events.

Still, it is difficult to not enjoy a wonderful day walking with Coco the dog in the sun. And though it is difficult to capture Coco on a photo he is cute as pie. You just have to take me on my work on that 🙂

The plum trees also have started to bloom, not to be confused with the cherry blossom (sakura) that still have a month or so left. But who can really see (or at least care about) the difference? 😉
