Tea Ceremony

After a long summer vacation (from tea class) it resumed today. We were 6 people including Mina-sensei.

I arrived about 20 minutes late because I got on a super-duper-express train that went on and on and on without ever-never stopping. It felt like I was back in Sweden, almost, when it finally stopped. And I got on a train back.

When I finally got to the tea class they were just entering the tea room. Since the class was quite big today each prepared tea for 2-3 persons rather than for all. Except me. I was the last one to prepare tea. And I had to prepare for all 5. Like a punishment for being late?

At 6 pm I went back to Naka-Meguro where I met Chie and Yoshiki-san at Jojoen for yaki-niku dinner. Yammy!

Watering Flowers @ Andreas

Went to Andreas’ apartment after office today. I had promised to take care of his flowers and mail while he is 6 weeks in Sweden on work and vacation.

On my way there from Meguro station I found this kinky church between the “Love Hotels”.

Once home, Chie and I went to Yasaka for dinner. Yummy!

Harry Potter & Red Pepper

Met Andreas at Toho Virgin cinema in Roppongi Hills at 3:30 pm. The Harry Potter movie were going to watch started at 3:45 pm. 15 minutes is just enough time to buy popcorn, something to drink, and a last visit to the bathrooms.

The movie was so so. One of the drawbacks is that the actor behind the main character is not an actor. Another drawback is that there is no story.

After the movie we moved on to Ebisu and Red Pepper for dinner. And was joined by Henning and Miyako-san, two friends of Andreas. We enjoyed a lot of food and the company.

Camera Shop

Andreas is interested in Cameras. I am too, but not even close to the interest Andreas shows in the small optical things.

Still, I like them enough to go on a trip with Andreas to Nakano to visit some Camera shops there. We left the office a little earlier than usual and got on the train to Shinjuku and then onwards to Nakano.

It was fun to watch all the different cameras and lenses in the shop. I tried out a few lenses for my camera too.

Once we got tired of cameras… Or rather once we got more hungry than interested in cameras we got on a train back to Ebisu. Here we tried a new restaurant that was quite OK.

Then we continued to the CAM bar in Ebisu. After about 15 minutes Chie called. Her dinner with a friend had ended and she was joining us at the bar in a few minutes. We had a fun time together the three of us. Too fun and too late.

Kappo R

Joined Martin and Andreas at the office and walked to the Shinagawa station and the Yamanote-sen. Martin was heading for the Konami Sports Club in Meguro and Andreas and me for Kappo R.

Kappo R is a Japanese style restaurant in Ebisu. With really good food. And we had a lot of it. While talking about nothing and everything.

Afterwards we walked a short distance to Red Pepper for desert. Andreas and I had vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake, and peach sorbet. Chie and Andreas had grappa and cheese. Andreas wanted to have everything 🙂
